Happy Blogtober day FOUR!
Being the Halloween queen that I like to think I am, I’ve made a list of all the places I want to visit during Halloween time. These places scream BOO! and give you all those spooky feelings. They are places that are famous for certain movies or shows and others that are just known for this time of year. Heres my spooky travel bucket list. I would love to visit all of these places at least once! P.S. I don’t know too much about these places and this is just my genuine knowledge of what goes on during Halloween!
This screams fall, obviously. Salem has a lot going on during this time of year including festivals, ghost tours, haunted houses, and more. I think this is probably the most popular place to visit during Halloween time given the history. For me, this would be more of a educational trip because I genuinely find the stories and history so interesting and would love to learn more about it while being in the actual setting. I bet the tours are really amazing and interesting to go on.
If you didn’t know, this is where The Vampire Diaries was filmed! I love this series and always really loved the town it took place in. It gave off a constant fall vibe that I cherished so much. I’ve watched some youtube videos where people go on the tours and I want to go on one so badly now. I think that it would be such a fun thing to do especially during halloween time. On the website, it says that you will see the Mystic Grill, the courthouse, Carolines house, the Lockwood mansion, the clocktower, and so much more where the scenes were taped. It’s about a two and half to three hour tour that costs fifty five dollars a person which I don’t think is a bad deal at all.
Okay, again, this is because of another one of my favorite vampire shows…you guessed it…The Originals. New Orleans is supposed to be one of the most fun and spookiest cities not only during Halloween time, but all the time. They have tours, festivals, and everybody gets dressed up. I’m sure they really love vampires too since the show was supposed to take place there. I would of course have to visit the French Quarter in hopes of finding Klaus and Elijah…kidding. Seriously though, New Orleans is supposed to get insanely packed during Halloween and I feel like it would be so worth it to go one year.
St. Helens, Oregon
This is where the classic Halloween town was filmed. I was obsessed with these movies when I was younger (between us, I still watch the movies every year). Its the ultimate Halloween movie and I never knew this place actually existed until last year. Its called “The Spirit of Halloweentown” and every year, there is a month long festival during October where thousands of people visit. The town goes all out with decorating and celebrating and has so many different and fun events. If you look up the location on Instagram, people post pictures and it looks like such a fun time.
Orlando, Florida (Disneyworld)
I’ve been to Florida a lot but never during the fall time. Truthfully, I only want to go, to go to Disney. Disney during Halloween is supposed to be so much fun and I think that it is destiny to spend my favorite holiday ever, at my favorite place ever. Their famous “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” is something I need to attend at least once in my life. The decorations, the fireworks, and just the overall feeling of being in Disney on Halloween seems so exciting to me.
Do you know any other places that are a must to visit during Halloween time? Also, let me know if you’ve ever been to any of the places I mentioned, I would love to hear how you enjoyed it! I’ll see you guys tomorrow for Blogtober day 6!
