I’ve done a couple of posts before titled “Dear Diary” that contained all my latest thoughts and feelings about life. It’s kind of just an excuse to rant and get things out of my head but its become something that I actually really enjoy doing. It’s like chit chat time and I love seeing what others have to say about the topic. Sooo, I’m back today with a new one for you guys.
This one is one I’m sure a lot of people can relate to right about now. The holidays are over, we’re back at work and school and life is just getting back into this routine. While I love routine, I can’t help but have a little case of the post holiday blues. The holiday season is officially over. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are all gone just like that.
Anyone else feel like it just all went by so quick?
Where I live, now is the time where it starts to get really cold and we get some of our worst weather. Like okay, now the snow decides to come after all the Christmas spirit is gone.
I also feel like I’m starting to rush time away. Today all I could think was “I just want school to start again so that life can get busy and the semester will fly by”. I always do this to myself because I have zero patience especially when I know so many good things are coming. This summer my family planned a trip to Punta Cana, which I am over the moon excited about because I love traveling.
I have also applied for a ton of summer internships in hopes of getting one that I can spend my summer working so hard towards. I just really want to start getting into the field I hope to work in one day and start gaining experience. I’ve made it my goal to apply to everything I’m interested in even if I think that I have zero chance of getting it. I know that I am going to have to put myself out there if I want to land an internship.
I thinking writing this post has only made me want summer more. I guess you can say that spring fever is in full effect. I’m sure a lot of you can relate. But I guess for now, I’ll just spend the next couple of months wearing cute sweaters and winter hats while I can while staring at pictures from last summer.
Because it will be here before we know it, right?
