One brand I’ve been hearing so much about lately is ColourPop. I know, I know...I’m super behind on the craze. I don’t know what took me so long to hop on the ColourPop band wagon, but I’m so glad that I did. My mom got me the Disney X ColourPop eyeshadow palette for Christmas and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I decided to look at their website and I was seriously so shocked by how affordable everything was. I ordered a couple of different things about a month ago and have been really impressed with how high quality their products are.
The first thing I bought were two new eyeshadow palettes since I loved the formula from the Disney one. I ordered the Dream St. palette and the Give It To Me Straight palette. I’m not huge into wearing very vibrant colors on my eyes but I thought the Dream St. palette had such cute pops of colors that I could have in case I ever wanted to try out a different look. I actually love the blue shimmer color called “Mermaid Boy”. It is so pretty and I think would look really tropical paired with a bronze eyes look. For the Give It To Me Straight palette, these are all the kinds of colors that I’m super into right now. I am loving the pinks and the warmer looks and its really getting me out of my comfort zone when it comes to eyeshadow. The colors in this palette are so, so, beautiful. Both these palettes have this amazing formula that is super pigmented and blends really nicely.
The next thing I picked up was some of their lux lipsticks. I’m about to sound crazy, but I’ve always hated the way lip products felt on my lips so I simply didn’t use them. However when I saw the Disney lipsticks, I knew I needed to grab them. I won’t lie, I was mostly sold when I saw the packaging but then I had also heard that they were supposed to have a very light feel. I thought it would be a great time to try it out and I am so glad that I did. Although I do wear a very light layer, they really are lightweight. I went to Ulta and bought a couple more because I liked it so much. I still like to stick to super natural colors and so I can’t really talk much about the more vibrant shades however, I do think that they are worth trying out.
The last thing I got was their signature brow gel. I don’t fill in my eyebrows just because I don’t really feel like I need to, but I like them to be brushed and neat looking so I like to use a clear gel. I was surprised at how well this worked considering it was only six dollars. The brush is really nice and it doesn’t leave your brows feeling… crusty (I guess you can say?).
And thats everything I got! I really, really, love this brand and am so excited to see how they continue to grow. I will definitely be picking up more products from them in the future. Have you tested out any ColourPop products yet? I would love to hear your thoughts!
