So about three months ago, I decided I wanted to try out a beauty subscription. There are so many options but I heard the most about Ipsy so I signed up and I wanted to share my thoughts on it. After getting this past bag (my third bag), I decided I want to keep my subscription since I really enjoy trying out new beauty products every month. Here is my review on trying out the ipsy bag!
So the first thing that I got in my ipsy bag was this Buxom mascara. I only use waterproof mascara (its the only thing that keeps a curl!) and so I gave this to my little sister to try out. She said it made her lashes longer and fuller and that she had no problem with flaking the whole day. She really seemed to like it so I would say that this mascara was a success!
Next I got this eyeshadow brush from the brand Vasanti Cosmetics. I’ve never heard of this brand before but its a blending brush for your eyeshadow and its super soft and really does blend everything really well. This is something that I will for sure use a ton.
I also got the It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye concealer. This is one product that I was really excited about when I saw it. I have been wanting to try this out forever. Unfortunately, I really wasn’t a fan of the consistency. It was also the wrong shade and so maybe thats why I wasn’t too crazy about it. I’m actually a really big fan of my Elf concealer that was only three dollars and I have yet to find something to kick it out of its place.
The next thing that I got was this “Watermelon energizing aqua balm” by Purlisse. It actually smells really good without being too overpowering (I hate when the scent is too strong). I also noticed that my face feels so hydrated after putting it on. Its great to use after a long day when you feel like your face needs a refresh. I feel like this could probably be something that I buy the full version of in the future.
The last thing I got (also my favorite) was this eye cream from the brand “Answer From”. I have the worst dark circles so I am constantly on the lookout for something new to help me. I’ve never heard of this brand before but was super intrigued when I read how it worked. All I do, is put a dime size (a little goes a long way) on both my under eyes and dab it in with my ring finger. This is seriously such a great product and I would definitely buy the full size version!
I would definitely recommend trying out Ipsy bags if you’ve been debating it. Its only ten dollars and you can cancel anytime, which is why I decided to give it a try. If you have an Ipsy subscription let me know how you like it! Also, do any of you have a subscription to a different beauty box? Let me know since I would love to try different ones in the future!
