Hi! Its been a while. I haven’t written one of these posts since I think maybe January? Wow, that seems like forever ago. During February, I slowly started to slip away from my blog and through March and April it all just totally went out of the window. If you want to know why, check out this post where I explain my reason for leaving my blog for a little.
So May. Where did it go? This month flew by and I can’t believe its already June. I feel like each month has been better than the last which is a good thing, right? I finished school this month and am officially a college senior, I’ve been getting back into blogging, and I am working on accomplishing some goals that I’ve set for myself.
First things first, I completely redesigned my blog! I purchased a new theme and I’ve been having so much fun setting it up. It has taught me a lot about the technical part of blogging and site setup which is actually really fun to learn about. I’m still working on the exact style that I want for my blog and so I wouldn’t be shocked if my blog looks a little different a month from now. (Update! I don’t currently have the same theme up and am playing back and forth with different themes and how I want my blog to look right now)
I also finished school this month! I’m officially a college senior and the excitement is real right now. I even wrote a post on all my feelings about it which you can read here. In this post, I talk about wanting summer to pass by quickly so I can start and finish the next school year. I completely take back what I said since I started my online summer class a few days ago and am already dreading completing all the assignments. Summer can definitely stay for as long as it wants…
I’ve also really enjoyed going on walks/runs this month. Its quiet, peaceful, and a complete mind clearer. Whether I go alone, with family, or friends, it always gives me an opportunity to escape the world for about thirty minutes and take in my surroundings which happens to be really beautiful. Taking that time to do this a couple of times each week feels like such a great change in my everyday routine. I actually find myself looking forward to that part of the day each week. Not to mention that its a great way to get some exercise in!
Plans For June
This month was great but I’m not sad to see it go. I have so much to look forward to in June and the months to follow. In June I really want to focus on my blog since I’ll have a lot more free time. Basically, I have the next three months to put my all into my blog so I see it as an opportunity to bring all my ideas to life. Another goal of mine is to keep taking the time everyday to stop what I’m doing and go on a walk. I want to take in this beautiful weather and take advantage of it. I want to go new places and see new things.
I’ve noticed that I’m becoming less scared of change the more time goes by and its a relief. I think thats because I’m working on becoming more and more positive everyday. I’m trying to see the positives of change and the possibilities that it brings. I’m actually finding myself excited about things changing which is a huge improvement for how I used to feel about it.
