I think I can speak for everyone when I say that March has been full of the unknown and uncertainty. With everything going on right now, I’ve spent the month trying to keep my blog how it normally is. While I am keeping myself educated and up-to-date, I don’t think that talking about it 24/7 is a healthy approach. If you’re like me, you need that break from the news and social media in order to take care of your mental health. Blogging for me during this month, has given me that break, which is why I chose to talk about different thing’s in this months posts. But for my March in review, it’s my chance to share all my thoughts about everything.
I got an email last week saying that my college has officially moved to online learning for the rest of the semester. I’m a senior and this is my last semester, so I’m not sure how to feel about not going back. My job has also been closed for the past two weeks and I’m not sure when we will be going back. And while I miss my normal routine, I know there are many worse things right now, and I’m continuing to count my blessings.
I’ve been social distancing, like everyone should be, with my family everyday. I’ll admit that I’ve maybe watched too much t.v. this past week, but I’m giving myself the pass. I’ve also been blogging, doing school work, and keeping up with friends *safely* over FaceTime.
I think its important to try to find something positive to focus on, and for me, thats been blogging. I had my highest blog views every this month, which is exciting. It mostly came from the work that I’m doing on Pinterest. I’m still learning the strategies and slowly testing them to see what they do for my blog. It’s super exciting to see the difference Pinterest can make and I’m excited to keep doing more next month.
April plans
Usually I would talk about my April plans but I think everyone is uncertain how the next month will be. While I pray and remain hopeful that thing’s start to get better, I know that it’s not possible to know. I’ll be doing school online, and I’m not sure when I’ll be going back to work. I am going to keep social distancing until we’re told it’s safe to do otherwise. Please, please, please, keep staying home! Before everything was made to close, there were a few non-essential stores still open where I live, and I heard that everyone was there. It’s so unnecessary and does not help at all, so just stay home (unless its for something essential)!
I know my blog is just this tiny little corner on the giant internet. However I feel like it’s my job as a person, to use my voice no matter how small. Thank you to all of those who are continuing to work in order to keep people safe and healthy. Don’t forget to check in on your family and friends who may be down at the moment.
I would love to know everyone else’s thoughts on this. Is your job allowing you to work from home? Has your school been moved online? I hope everyone is staying safe!
