I’ve always had a love for writing (hence the whole blog). I’ve been writing in journals since I was little, but when I started college I started getting into it more. Every year, I start a new journal and will go to it to write down whatever comes to mind. Whether it’s what I did that day, a list, some favorite quotes, etc., I try to write in it weekly. For todays post, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite journals and journal prompt ideas for anyone who’s stuck on what to write about.
My Favorite Journals
Moleskine Journal
Any plain journal will work, but this is the one that I’ve been using since my freshman year of college. I love that it has a little pocket that I can store little things in from the year. I’ve saved everything from movie tickets, to polaroid’s, things like that. Some other plain journals that I love are the ones from Papier (such cute designs!) and the Morgan Harper Nichols one from Anthropologie (I’m obsessed with her work!).
Five Minute Journal
I only recently got this, so I’m not too far into it. I love the idea of guided journals that make you answer questions you wouldn’t normally think about.
100 Days of Brave and Hope
These are a bit more on the religious side. So if you are looking for those types of journals, these are perfect! They are exactly what the title says. Each day, you read a little passage and then there is a question to answer!
52 Lists For Calm
I haven’t started this one yet, because I’m waiting to finish some others first. This is supposed to be great for calming anxiety/stress and is a great form of self-care! There is also a 52 Lists For Happiness that I want to tryout too! These are from Target along with so many other great journals!
Some Journal Prompts
– Write about three things that you’re grateful for today.
– What are some of your small term goals (think the next thirty days)?
– What are some of your long term goals (think the next six to twelve months)?
– Write a list of simple little things that make you happy.
– Go on Pinterest and find some quotes that you love at the moment. Write them down and you can go back to them later!
Those are my favorite journals and journal prompt ideas! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I would love to know how everyone else journals and what kinds are their favorites!
