It’s been a while since I’ve done a makeup centered post. When I first started blogging, makeup related posts made up 90% of my blog. I felt like it was the only kinds of posts I knew how to do. Obviously, I’ve evolved since then and learned I’m not a beauty blogger. I’m super simple when it comes to makeup. I’ve never worn any face makeup except for concealer a few times. I prefer a more natural look on myself and put most of my effort into style and lifestyle content (since I’m more passionate about it).
Like I said, it’s been a while since I’ve done this kind of post. And while I’m not an expert, I wanted to share some of my current favorites with anyone who is the same kind of makeup wearer that I am. I love trying out new products, but I also have a few holy grail items that I will always use. So here’s my super simple Fall beauty routine.
Go-To Mascaras
I’ve loved the Marc Jacobs mascara for so long. I also have recently been loving the Tarte light’s, camera, lashes mascara and even purchased the waterproof version.
Tweezerman Eyelash Curler: The Rose Gold One!
The only eyelash curler that I’ll ever use. It’s the perfect shape for my eye shape. It curls my eyelashes so well and keeps them curled. I’ve talked about this before, but I get the rose gold color since my eyelashes are super dark. It lets me see where they are and I can get closer to the root.
Colourpop Brow Products
Colourpop brow products do not get the recognition they deserve. I found the perfect color for me (I recommend going one to two shades lighter for a more natural look) and it works so well. The brow gel is also amazing and they are both only six dollars. I used to use the Hourglass one and absolutely loved it, but I think the Colourpop one is a better shade for me.
Eyeshadow Brushes
I’m really into the double ended brushes because it keeps things more simple. These ones I found from Sephora last year are perfect, but these eco-tool ones are also a long time favorite. They are affordable and really soft!
Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes
I get more into eyeshadow during the Fall and holiday time, but even then, I’m super into natural looks. All my eyeshadow palettes are neutral themed with browns, pinks, and reds. My all time favorite is the Tartelette in Bloom palette, but I also love the Naked Reloaded palette as well. Both of these are essential for a simple Fall beauty routine.
Marc Jacobs Eyeliner
My eyes are super sensitive so I’ve tried many eyeliners that have made my eyes water like crazy. The Marc Jacobs Highliner has been the only one not to do that. I either use the matte dark brown color “earth-quake” or the medium brown color called “brownie”. I prefer browns over blacks so it’s not too harsh.
