October, as usual, went by in what felt like a minute. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m less sad about spooky season ending, and more ready for the Holiday season to start. Maybe it’s because we all need extra “Holiday cheer” this year, but I am so ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping, and everything else that come’s along with this time of year.
October was not what it usually is. I’m very into Halloween, and am normally going to all the haunted houses, mazes, and pumpkin patches. This year, obviously, was not like the others. I got into the spooky spirit other ways by watching scary movies and shows, like The Haunting of Bly Manor (which I gave my review for here). I also spent 80% of my time painting pumpkins (literally every week) and baking Halloween themed goods (literally every week). My kitchen currently looks like I’m hosting a bake sale and I’m pretty sure my family is over it.
Even after all that, I will admit I felt less inspired this month. I didn’t push out as much content that I had wanted to, or do enough blog work. However, over the last few days, I feel like I’ve found my motivation again and I am so ready for the Holiday season. This is truly my favorite time of the year, and so I have so many fun things planned on here.
As for November, expect things to get a lot more holiday-ish on here. I’m already planning out my gift guides and playing around with Photoshop to figure out my holiday aesthetic (because obviously that’s important). By the way, I got much more into Photoshop this month. Last month, I talked about figuring out the basics of it, and this month I for sure jumped up ten levels. I’m making graphics for the blog (and Pinterest!) so much quicker and easier now, which makes me so happy.
Quick little school update (because why not?)! I’m also about to finish my second term of school which is fun! I’ve been enrolled in my grad program for four months now, which seems crazy to think about. This term went by so fast and I’m surprised at how much I genuinely enjoyed my classes this term.
I hope everyone had a great spooky season, and has an amazing November!
