New year, new me? or is that just an excuse to online shop?
It’s my first Friday Favorites for 2021 and I’m really excited since I haven’t done one of these in almost a month. Mostly excited to talk about my favorite recent Netflix watches, since I’ve been on a Netflix binge lately. Hope you enjoy!
Style
Steve Madden Sneakers
Fell in love with these on the website, and my parents ended up getting me them for Christmas. They’re called the “Myles” sneaker in the taupe color. I love the chunky sneaker look and the color is so pretty. They’re also very comfortable and super easy to slip on and off. When it comes to sizing, I saw a few mixed reviews. I sized up because I know sometimes Steve Madden can run small, but I ended up returning for my true size and they fit perfect.
Aerie Leggings
I’ve always loved Aerie leggings but most recently I’ve been living in their “Real Me” leggings. They are so soft and the most perfect length (I’m 5’5″ for reference).
Oversized Sweater From ASOS
The most perfect and very oversized sweater that is so warm and comfy. Perfect for dressing up or down.
Columbia Long Hooded Jacket
I got this coat last Winter, but it’s gotten super cold where I live, so I basically where this every time I leave the house now. It keeps me so warm and is perfect for rain, snow, wind, etc.
Winter Gloves
My new favorite gloves. I have them in black and white. Love the detailing on them and they keep my hands so warm.
Beauty
Ilia Limitless Mascara
Recently repurchased this and had forgotten how much I love it. My lashes are so nice and separated with this mascara and it’s super good at holding a curl. Can we also take a second to appreciate how aesthetically pleasing the packaging is as well?
NARS Eyeliner
One of my all time favorite eyeliners that I’ve been wearing more of recently. I have it in the “Mambo” (a medium brown) and “Last Frontier” (dark brown) shade.
Lifestyle
Bridgerton
This show just came out on Netflix Christmas day. I’m obsessed. I went into it not knowing at all what it was about, and I think it was better that way. But in simple terms, it basically follows a family where the siblings try and find love. It’s like the 1800’s version of Gossip Girl. I finished this in one day, then was mad at myself because who knows when season two will be out?? This is seriously such a good show. I’ve seen lots of mixed reviews, but it’s worth giving it a shot if you’re on the fence about watching it. I love the time period, the setting, the architecture, the style, all of it.
Schitts Creek
Also finished this pretty quickly. I was seeing so many tiktok videos about it and then had a friend recommended it to me. If you didn’t know, It’s about a very wealthy family that loses basically everything, except for this small town that they bought as a joke years ago. They’re forced to move there, and hope to sell it so they can get out ASAP. It’s hilarious and I loved every single character. It was such an easy watch, kind of like The Office was.
